Turmeric Indian Bar & Grill

This place was so top notch, we are huge fans of Indian Cuisine, and when we saw the reviews we had to stop in. The food was excellent, the ambiance was delightful, and the staff were so kind and attentive. Our waiter Ashwin was so nice, knowledgeable, and paid great attention to us, timing all of our dishes perfectly. The food was hot, fresh, and SO FLAVORFUL. This is our first trip to Sarasota, and now we have our own recommendation!!!

Stumbled upon this place by accident on Fourth of July where most of other restaurants were closed, but I am so happy that I came across this establishment. I got the lunch buffet. The selection is not large, but everything is high quality and tasty. I want to say this is the best Indian buffet I’ve ever had. I’m one of those who love Indian food but it’s hard for me to tell the exact difference between tikka masala, butter chicken, and vindaloo. They are all just delicious curry flavor to me. HOWEVER the dishes here make me close my eyes and really taste the flavor of each dish, and I am able to taste the complex layers of each ingredient that is in each dish. What an amazing experience!!! I especially loved the Methi Malai Mutter which is a cashew based sauce with peas. Wow. Amazing. The lamb vindaloo is super aromatic with a strong and refreshing tomato theme. The chicken tikka masala is in between the savory of butter chicken and the citrusy Vindaloo. I can tell all the flavors now! Mango lassi - amazing Food- amazing Music and vibe - awesome Book marked and would come again! PS I’m not Indian so I’m not an expert on Indian cuisine. Purely from a foodie perspective.

Possibly THE best Indian restaurant in the State!! Our experience was great from service to food to value. Aushwin was our server. Kind man. Food was plentiful and delicious, and of course of high quality. I can say with confidence that Turmeric has been among the best Indian restaurants I’ve ever been to. Restrooms could have been a little cleaner. Besides that, it was top notch! Thank you! We’ll be back!!
