I feel bad, I accidentally wrote this originally on the wrong location, but I can say more. First thing is the food is even better and we met Maria, you want to feel like family, if you see her, say Hi, Hello my friends, Stacey and I felt like something Italian, we went to another in the past, but when we go camping we like to try something new and local places. There was no wait for a table but still had a very nice crowd. Chrissy was our server and one of the best servers we’ve had in a long time. We both gave her a couple choices and she recommended a Calzone for Stacey and I had a Stromboli, very good and we both brought home enough for lunch the for the next day, YUM No wait for a table, Chrissy was right on it when we sat, she smiled, and still gave us enough for our time to decide, refilled our drinks, Thanks Chrissy! The moral of story is just go and try Joey Ds, you won’t be disappointed!
Tastes like home even if home isn't Chicago anymore. Wish i didn't have to visit Florida to get Joey's BUT I'm glad they are here. Mac was a great server. Sportbar atmosphere minus the drunks. Food is very good. I've had the dog, Italian sausage, Italian BEEF, and thin crust pizza. Looking forward to trying the deep dish. You've been warned, you will want to go back.
We spent the entire weekend in St Pete eating at fancy restaurants. Spent a ton of money. Didn’t blow my dress up. My wife Denise and I stopped at Joey D’s out of the blue. Denise ordered the Italian sausage sandwich. I ordered the small Chicago pizza with pepperoni. It was so damn good I got mad at the other restaurants. Chrissy our server was warm and engaged with us. This food is outstanding. Also, I just spent last year in Italy and Malta. This food is authentic Italian. Actually as good or better than the old country. Don’t hesitate. We all need to support this family owned restaurant. Well done! Oh yeah, don’t leave without taking home a frozen Chicago pizza!
