We stopped in for lunch and had a very enjoyable experience. They have many great Mediterranean options to choose from. We started off with the Spanish octopus appetizer. The octopus was tender and with a nice, charred flavor. I ordered the lamb adana and shrimp skewers. Everything tasted greated and the portions were plentiful. Our server was polite and curtious and added to our experience.
To be honest, I really love Mediterranean food, so I was very excited to discover L'Olive... The food was very distinctive. Although I usually avoid fried food, I still ordered the Mediterranean Branzino. The fish, with its thin skin, was pan-fried until crispy and delicious, and the flesh was tender. My family also raved about the other dishes. The service was friendly and attentive. The only downside was that the restaurant smelled of kitchen grease and cooking fumes from beginning to end, which was quite disappointing.
We come here often. The atmosphere is upscale casual, very comfortable, easy to have a conversation, not too noisy even when tables are full. Our favorites are the octopus appetizer, char grilled and so tender with a beautiful lemon cream sauce and the orange cake for dessert, on my list of my favorite things I ever ate. Robert our server is wonderful.
