The Green Orchid at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a meal in a beautiful setting. We got there early, just when they opened, and that made the experience even better. The restaurant was quiet, calm, and filled with natural light, with beautiful views of the lush gardens outside. The service was excellent: friendly, attentive, and professional from start to finish. We especially loved the verdant ambience. With large windows, plants and trees all around, comfortable seating, and a light, modern interior, the restaurant feels perfectly connected to the gardens. Even indoors, you feel surrounded by greenery. The outdoor seating area looked very inviting as well, but the views from inside were already wonderful. It is a lovely place to slow down before or after exploring the gardens. The Green Orchid is more than just a convenient café at a botanical garden. It feels like part of the Selby experience: elegant, relaxed, fresh, and surrounded by beauty. Highly recommended..
Had a spectacular lunch today. We sat out on the terrace, which was very pleasant. Our dining concierge was very attentive and personable. I had the lobster roll, which was unbelievably good. The menu is very diverse, and we loved that the vegetables are locally grown on the top of the restaurant. A wonderful experience.
We had a bite to eat before our visit of the Botanical Gardens on the same site where this wonderful restaurant is located. Rebecca our server was very courteous and professional. What a great place for a delicious snack and refreshing drink. We shared the mushrooms and spinach flat bread. Also the lemonade and strawberry drink is delicious.
