Longet

Went to Longet for the first time yesterday to celebrate my birthday. I had heard about this restaurant from a friend and it did not disappoint. It is really a beautiful space and the service by Nicki was impeccable. The wine list is very nice and not overpriced. The food was amazing. Our party started with the charcuterie board and escargot which were both delicious. The cheese offered on the board was so very good and authentically French. The jam and bread were a nice touch to the whole appetizer experience. For entrees we tried the toasted eggplant main, the beef bourguignon and the asparagus and scallop risotto. The portions were perfect and everything was delicious. They also have specials in addition to the regular menu which I want to try soon. We will definitely visit here again as the food and presentation were so nice. I also had the chocolate crème brûlée which was amazing! Thanks Longet for a lovely birthday treat.

The best of Venice. Always amazing - I had the shrimp Longet and he had the beef carpaccio as appetizers. I had the halibut with the tarragon sauce and carrots. He had the NY. Strip medium rare and grilled asparagus. Topped it all off with the tart of the day and an espresso martini. From the first step in the door greeted by smiling Kay and seated at the bar for amazing cocktails by the amazing Armando it is an Epicurious delight. The food is so very good it is a journey to deliciousness. The sauces are lite and amazingly delicious. The attention to detail and the attention by the staff is outstanding. It is the best of the best.

Tuesday-Friday they have a 3 course meal for $49. I had the escargot, the triple tail, and the lava cake. My wife had the beet salad, the scallops, and the blueberry cookie. We paired this with the French Sauvignon Blanc. Everything was fabulous. The salad was well balanced and bursting with sweet, creamy, and crisp flavors. The escargot was beautifully done. My fish was so fresh and the lava cake was the main event!!! We’ll definitely be back!
