Baker & Wife is not far from the north bridge exit of Siesta Key in a strip mall. Parking was not available but we managed to find the last available spot on the street. This is likely due to the busy dive bar a few storefronts down. The atmosphere is modern meets upscale Cracker Barrel which was an interesting mix. The service was good and food was fresh. The menu had an interesting mix that included local specialties. The garlic naan bread was the highlight of the night. The anchovies on the Caesar a nice touch. The seafood red curry linguine was good but a really heavy meal in general. It was packed with seafood though. Overall Baker & Wife was a good experience and glad we finally tried it.
Baker & Wife Baker & Wife on Siesta Drive remains a top-tier choice for dining in Sarasota, offering a fantastic atmosphere and consistently high-quality food. The menu is well-crafted, and the service is always on point. If you are a fan of steak, their skirt steak is exceptional and easily one of my favorites in the city. However, it is worth noting the significant price increase; this dish has jumped from $35 to $49. While the quality is still top-notch, the nearly $50 price tag for a skirt steak is a bit steep and disappointing to see. To end on a high note, the flourless chocolate torte is absolutely exceptional—rich, decadent, and a perfect way to wrap up the meal. If you’re looking for a refined dining experience and don't mind the splurge, this is a solid local pick.
This place does not need any recommendation from me. Everyone knows they are a unique dining experience in the Siesta Key area. The food & service are amazing. The place is filled with happy diners. Go. Enjoy.
