Batty was INCREDIBLE!! The food was fresh and so delicious. Completely gluten free and doesn’t taste like it, in the best way. Would highly recommend if you’re in the area. So many great options from seafood to steak.

Excellent food and service! Batty was a wonderful server. He gave lots of recommendations and he was spot on. I had the Milanese chicken and my husband had the picanha and it was one of the better steaks he has ever had. And everything is gluten free which is so amazing! Thank you! FYI only bear and wine here. They do make fun wine based cocktails though.

Comida is an absolute gem in downtown Sarasota. As someone with celiac disease, finding a 100% dedicated gluten-free kitchen is already a relief—but being able to order incredible, crispy fried chicken without a single worry felt like a dream! Our server, Robert, was phenomenal. He was warm, attentive, gave spot-on recommendations, and was genuinely excited right alongside me that I could safely enjoy the entire menu. The hospitality here is unmatched; the team truly makes you feel like you’re the only table they’re cooking for. Everything—from the handcrafted drinks to the scratch-made appetizers, mains, and desserts—was vibrant, fresh, and delicious. You do not have to have a gluten sensitivity to fall in love with this place; the food stands toe-to-toe with any top restaurant downtown. Cannot recommend Comida enough!"
