Very good choice of restaurant. Quiet, was not too busy on a Thursday night. Services was really great, servers were very happy to assist and suggest and very attentive. Miso soup was great, loved the florida roll it hit all the right spots, the volcano roll was good it’s just loaded with stuff so it has a lot of flavors all at once. I will say the crème brûlée was below average but still was really good. Overall great experience. Great restaurant. Great service. And decent prices.
I probably would have never considered stopping here based on the outside appearance, but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good, the portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. The service was also friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely come back.
Stone Bowl: Where My Meal Came Out Sizzling and My Self-Control Did Not I went to Stone Bowl thinking I’d get a quick, casual meal. Instead, I got a full sensory experience and a mild identity crisis over how much food I can physically consume. First off—if you’ve never had your food arrive in a literal sizzling stone bowl, just know it sounds like your dinner is angry at you. Like… SSSSSSSSSSSSSS The table goes silent. Everyone turns. You feel important. You also feel slightly threatened. I ordered the Sukiyaki Bibimbap, and I’m pretty sure it was still cooking when it hit the table. The rice was crisping up, the beef was doing its thing, and I was just sitting there like, “Do I eat this… or do I let it finish evolving?” Spoiler: I ate it immediately and burned my mouth because I have no patience and even less survival instinct. We also got: Spicy Crunchy Shrimp Roll – crunchy, spicy, and dangerously easy to inhale Dragon Roll – looked fancy, tasted even fancier, made me feel like I had my life together Crab Rangoons – legally should be classified as addictive substances Gyoza – disappeared so fast I don’t even remember chewing Then I made the bold decision to try the General Tso’s… which came out like, “Oh, you thought you were just getting sushi? WRONG. Here’s a full second meal.” Also—shoutout to the menu for casually offering everything ever invented: Sushi? ✔️ Ramen? ✔️ Bibimbap? ✔️ Udon? ✔️ Fried rice, pad thai, bento boxes, and your emotional support carbs? ✔️✔️✔️ It’s like they refused to pick a lane and honestly… I respect that. The lunch specials are also insane. “Any 2 rolls” or “Any 3 rolls”?? Sir… I barely have the emotional strength to choose ONE. And just when I thought I was done… I saw Tempura Cheesecake on the menu. Deep fried cheesecake?? Who hurt you? And also… I’ll take one. Vibe check: Low-key chill, not pretentious, perfect for everything from a casual lunch to “I deserve this after the week I’ve had.” Final verdict: Stone Bowl is the kind of place where: Your food is hotter than your last relationship The portions are generous And you leave full, happy, and slightly questioning your life choices Would I come back? Absolutely. Will I touch the sizzling bowl again like I didn’t learn my lesson? Also absolutely.
