Karo a sister restaurant to Kore and Jpan sure did deliver tonight. A quick stop for a midweek treat really delivered... Nice props for the service and delicious food!!! Sushi specialties and happy hour options are plentiful with great flavor layering in all of the dishes I enjoyed. Can't wait to come back to crush some different rolls and enjoy more of the menu.

Kuro Sushi has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in Lakewood Ranch. I recently stopped in for dinner, grabbed a seat at the bar, and had a terrific experience from start to finish. What immediately stands out is the quality and freshness of the food. The sushi is beautifully prepared, incredibly fresh, and presented with a level of care that reflects the talent coming from the kitchen. It is easy to see why so many people are talking about their specialty rolls and creative menu offerings. I especially enjoyed sitting at the bar, which provided a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere while still allowing me to enjoy the energy of the restaurant. The service was attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the evening. The restaurant has a modern, welcoming feel that works equally well for a casual dinner, a date night, or an evening out with friends. It is the kind of neighborhood restaurant that you find yourself wanting to return to again and again. Lakewood Ranch is fortunate to have a restaurant of this quality. Fresh sushi, excellent service, a beautiful atmosphere, and a consistently enjoyable dining experience make Kuro Sushi an easy five-star recommendation. I look forward to my next visit.

Finally, a Japanese restaurant in the Lakewood ranch area that deserves repeat visits. Modern, stylish, and a little luxe without feeling pretentious, their tapas style menu includes small plates meant for sharing, grilled skewers, sushi and even a multi-course omakase experience. The focus is on fresh fish, inventive flavor combinations and shareable plates. KURO perfectly balances traditional sushi with creative Asian-fusion dishes that actually deliver on flavor instead of just presentation. The lemongrass twist in the chicken dumplings was perfect. I can’t begin to describe how good the beef fried rice was. Smoky, rich, deeply flavorful, and somehow impossible to stop eating even when completely full. Easily one of the best things on the table and absolutely a favorite. Loved the beef tataki. And the pork belly? Dangerous. Crispy, rich, melt-in-your-mouth levels of good. For sushi rolls, the Ichi and Shi completely stole the show. KURO feels like the kind of restaurant Lakewood Ranch has been missing: polished but fun, creative without trying too hard, and most importantly, delicious. Extra info: they have great lunch sets and desserts. The matcha tres leche and the kuro parfait were yum.
