Peculiar Pub

I stopped by Peculiar Pub in Lakewood Ranch this evening looking for a place to relax for a little while and enjoy a beer, and it turned out to be a great choice. The pub was quite busy when I arrived because they were hosting an event, which is usually a good sign that a place is doing something right. Even with the crowd, the atmosphere remained welcoming, comfortable, and enjoyable. It had the kind of energy that makes a pub feel lively without feeling overwhelming. I was able to grab a beer, settle in, and unwind for a bit while enjoying the atmosphere. The staff handled the busy evening well, and the overall experience was exactly what I was looking for. One thing I appreciate about places like Peculiar Pub is that they feel like genuine gathering places for the community. Whether you’re stopping in to meet friends, catch an event, or simply enjoy a drink after a long day, it feels like a place where people enjoy spending time. Five stars. Any pub that can host a busy event, keep everyone happy, and still provide a relaxing place to enjoy a beer has figured out the formula. I’ll definitely be back.

This was my first time here. I'm coeliac and I've heard great things about coeliac safe food here. It did not disappoint. Our server, Kristin, was fabulous. She was informative, kind she is just wonderful. The food was incredible. I had a fried chicken sandwich on a bun with fries. Amazing! Having found a restaurant with dedicated fryers and coeliac safe kitchen is so exciting. I cannot wait to go back and try some of the other fantastic options. If you are coeliac or gluten free by choice this place is a big win!!! The atmosphere was great too.

We stopped in to check out the place, and I am so glad that we did. We had appetizers and drinks. The food was excellent. My husband had the Beets, Rhymes and Life IPA, which he enjoyed, and it was a nice surprise. We had the smoked fish dip, and it was different from other fish dips that we had; it was so good! We also had the Coconut Grouper Bites, and those were also amazing. We sat at the bar and had great service. We will definitely be back to try some more of their menu.
