Pineapple Tequila Mexican Restaurant, Grill & Cantina

We are visiting from Minnesota for some shark tooth hunting and found this place near our Air B & B. When you first walk in the atmosphere is awesome... full of colors and light and pineapples. The staff was super friendly and nice. Our waiter was Christopher and he was awesome! Very personable and fun. We tried a few different items to share. Ciara's Quesadilla, Taco Supreme, Cheese Dip, Chicken Chimichanga, and a flan to go (which I haven't eaten yet, but it looks amazing). This is one of the better Mexican restaurants I've even been to! From the salsa, to the service, to the end! Even the refried beans on their own were probably the best I've had! The salsa was perfect! Our only problem was we ordered too much 😁! But, it'll make an amazing meal later! We called our family after and told them we will come down from Minnesota and take them to this restaurant! Thanks to Christopher and the cooks, and staff for an excellent experience and we will definitely be coming back!

I’ve visited multiple times, and the food quality is consistently excellent every single visit—which is rare to find. My go-to order is the supreme tacos, and they are always packed with flavor, fresh ingredients, and perfectly seasoned. Pair that with their mango margarita, and you’ve got one of the most refreshing and authentic-tasting drinks in the area—made with real, fresh flavors instead of overly sweet mixes. What truly sets this place apart is their attention to detail and customer service. The restaurant is always clean, well-maintained, and has a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is incredibly attentive—they genuinely check in to make sure everything is perfect and go above and beyond to enhance your experience. One standout moment: a server offered me their house-made hot sauces. When I mentioned I liked mango habanero, she didn’t just bring one—she brought all three flavors so I could try them. That level of care and thoughtfulness is exactly how great restaurants build loyal customers. If you’re in the Venice area and craving authentic Mexican food, amazing margaritas, and top-tier service, this spot is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Violeta made us guacamole right in front of us and it was delicious, from citrus county and this was one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve been too. Our Server Diana was so Polite and Attentive. Great customer service and atmosphere.
